She also starred in the culinary TV pilot, Farm to Table.  It’s a family affair! Molly’s documentary filmmaker husband, John Chester, takes all of the “great” photos that appear on Organic Spark. Kim Knoch is cooking her way through all 773 recipes of Sally Fallon Morell’s Nourishing Traditions cookbook, a la Julie/Julia style, in her blog, The Nourishing Cook. She is gradually switching her entire family over to the Weston A Price way-of-eating, with surprising results. Kim had weight loss surgery in 2001 and lost 200 pounds. She and her husband have nurtured and grown their local foodshed –- connecting small family farms with an eager customer base through their farmers market. With an unshakable belief that everyone deserves access to high quality, nutrient-dense foods, they’ve spearheaded programs that provide free food to low-income residents in their community. As she says, "Real food takes real work. And it’s worth it. Cherish your body, nourish your kitchen."
Meet Heather Dessinger from Mommypotamus, a blog about real food and natural parenting. Heather will talk your ear off about butter, farm fresh eggs and the dangers of genetically modified foods anytime. . . even while in labor! At twenty-four Heather was diagnosed with a serious auto-immune disorder and told she wasn’t capable of carrying a baby to term. Heartbroken, she started searching for answers. What she learned about stealth GMO’s, factory-farmed meat and other stomach wrenching realities made her angry. She determined to make a change for her family and began sourcing pastured meats, raw cheese and organic produce. About a year after she changed her diet, and with the help of a modified form of acupuncture, Heather conceived and carried her daughter not just to full-term, but to the very last day of the 42nd week!
