Tell us a little about yourself.
Most importantly I am mom to Jorge and Paulina. Also, I am married to Jorge Posada who is catcher for the New York Yankees. Along with being an attorney in Puerto Rico and the United States, I have worked as a publicist hosting tv shows and as a model/actress. I also pursued my certification as a physical fitness trainer.
After our son, Jorge Jr., was born with craniosynostosis, our family founded The Jorge Posada Foundation to bring awareness and support to other families dealing with the same struggles. As co-founder and President, I offer emotional support to fellow parents of children with craniosynostosis, and have created a Mentors Program.
Along with Jorge, I co-authored Fit Home Team to educate and inspire other parents to create health for their families. I believe health is our most valuable commodity and we need to do everything in our power to pursue it for ourselves and our families.
Tell us why feeding your family REAL foods is important to you and where you are on the journey (just beginning, well into it or somewhere in between):
I want my kids to be healthy, and to be exposed to nutritious food. As kids they don't know any better and it is our responsibility as parents to guide them and lead by example.
What challenges have you faced in feeding your family REAL foods?
Everyone likes different things so sometimes we need to have a buffet type dinner to make everyone happy, and make mom work hard!

What is a typical (if there is one) day like?
Wake up 7am and get the kids ready for the day. Usually after I exercise and then work. I like to finish everything before the kids get home from school so I can focus on them.
In what ways do you incorporate fitness into your family's daily life?
I look for activities that we all enjoy, and also make it fun and exciting.
What is a typical daily menu for your family, including snacks?
I try to make all meals balanced. For snacks, I keep it simple with fruits and vegetables.
A lot of moms think feeding their family REAL food is too expensive. How and why do you fit REAL food into your budget?
Buy foods that are in season and also locally grown and you will save tons of money.
What do you do to take care of yourself?
I enjoy different exercises for variety, but my best friend is a good massage!
What is your best advice to other conscientious moms when it comes to keeping your family physically fit?
Find something that they love and they will ask you for more. Don't force them to do an activity that the don't enjoy...fit and healthy doesn't have to be hard and boring.
